Having cut out champagne from my new years eve celebration, it is always a good idea to throw in a good French beer to avoid any suspicion of discrimination on the basis of nationality.
It's an even better idea when the beer in question is the highly respected and widely renowned 3 Monts, the flagship beer of the Brasserie de Saint-Sylvestre.
This bière de garde has been brewed for close to 30 years now, a time during which it has been partly responsible for the expansion of the brewery to several different markets, collecting numerous praise along the way.
I do not usually find many bières de garde, or at least really good ones, in my go-to places for beer in Madrid. Having this on NYE will no doubt be special.
