I have learnt that a small tasting is scheduled this Saturday at 7 pm in La Antigua, in the hip neighborhood of Malasaña.
The tasting, organized with the collaboration of SinviBeer, a recently formed craft beer event planning company, will showcase most of the beers brewed by Fábrica de Cervezas Kettal.
This Cadiz based brewery will bring with it the Kettal el Trillo, a summer ale, the Kettal la Espiga, a wheat beer, the Kettal el Alambique, an Irish-style red ale, the Kettal la Fanega, a double malt beer, the Kettal el Almiar, an IPA, and the Kettal el Yunque, a porter.
La Antigua, where the event will take place, is actually a store which doubles as a workshop and event space. It usually hosts the designs and creations of three designers, Lucetemas, Silvia Calles' Closet and Lady Desidia, as well as several monthly craft workshops and parties.
The whole thing's free of charge, but the amount of beer will be pretty limited, so I would recommend getting there early not to miss out. I know I will.
