A fellow beer enthusiast has informed me that a craft beer festival will take place during the second weekend of November in the beautiful scenic city of Tandil, in the Province of Buenos Aires.

The Festival Internacional de la Cerveza Artesanal, organized by the Somos Cerveceros Association, will be a pretty big affair.

Friday's activities will be open to the public and free of charge and will include the inauguration, a press conference, a brief explanation of the history of beer in the Tandil area, and a food and craft beer tasting.

Saturday there will be a series of technical presentations intended for brewers, both professional and amateur, on different topics such as brewing, conditioning, tasting and marketing. These presentations will take place during the day, while the late evening will be consecrated to the public in general.

The festivities open to the public will include concerts, general technical presentations, local food stands, beer collectibles, and of course stands by the different breweries where you will get to enjoy their different beers.

Sunday will again be reserved for the different brewers and the activities will include a luncheon, an exchange of beers to promote tasting and constructive criticism between brewers to improve their beers, and tourism related activities.

It is also worth noting that the event will make a charitable donation to the local children's hospital, who will also have their own stand in the festival.
