As I post this, Edge Brewing is throwing their official brewery inauguration party, which will go on until midnight tonight.
We were lucky enough to take an unofficial tour of the brewery and try their beers last weekend during a trip we did to Barcelona, tour which I will post about at length this next week. However, I did not want to let opportunity pass to talk a little bit about these guys and give you their coordinates, so any of you around Barcelona today can pay them a visit.
Edge Brewing is the brain child of a few guys from Florida, Alan, Robin, Scott and their team, who decided to take their craft brewing expertise to Spain and open up a US style brewery and brew US style beers, in order to contribute to the craft beer revolution going on in Spain and in Europe.
They have opened up their brewery in the Poble Nou, relatively close to the Marina and the Maritime Museum where next weekend the Barcelona Beer Festival will take place.
At Carrer de Llull 62, they are also next door neighbors to the Beer Box, a fantastic online beer store and craft beer distributors.
Today's party promises to be a blast, so I would definitely recommend a visit. If you go, make sure not to miss their Padrino Porter or their Barretina Amber ale, two fantastic and easy to drink beers which will keep you wanting more.
